From Washington State to the World: Celebrating Stories That Connect Us All
As I continue to navigate this exciting journey with my photography project, one unexpected insight has truly warmed my heart: Washington State is showing up and showing out! It’s incredible to see the support and interest coming from all corners, but I have to give special thanks to those of you in Washington State. You’ve outpaced my own home state of Connecticut when it comes to visiting the project, and that kind of love doesn’t go unnoticed!
This project is about more than just photography—it’s about connection, community, and storytelling. The interest coming from Washington makes me so excited to meet you all in person. When the time comes to expand beyond my home base, Washington will be my first stop! I’m eager to learn more about the incredible Hispanic and Latino communities thriving there.
Beyond Washington and Connecticut, other places showing interest include Forest City, New York, Boston, Middletown (CT), Southington (CT), Altoona, Boydton, and Des Moines. Even more amazing is the international attention! This project has reached people from Sweden, Ireland, Puerto Rico, Bangladesh, Costa Rica, and India. Since I started on September 15, the website has attracted 349 hits to the main pages, and I couldn’t be more grateful for every single one.
While the numbers are slowly ramping up, I’m excited to see the growing interest. Building something meaningful takes time, and your early support means everything. Washington State, if you’re ready to cement this trip and make it happen sooner, sign up today! Be part of this movement, share your story, and let’s celebrate the strength and beauty of our shared heritage together. Every sign-up gets me one step closer to packing my bags and heading your way!
Thank you all for being a part of this journey with me. Stay tuned, and if you’re in Washington, get ready—I can’t wait to meet you! Don’t forget to follow along on Facebook and Instagram at @solivanphotography for all the latest updates. Your support, no matter how small, is what makes this project possible!
