Being Invisible but Not Anymore!
I’ve decided to embark on a journey that’s been deeply personal to me for as long as I can remember. As a proud Newyorican, born of Puerto Rican parents, and a single mother of two beautiful children, I’ve witnessed the strength, resilience, and vibrant spirit that define our community and so many others. But I’ve also seen the pain, the invisibility, and the quiet perseverance of those who hold this country together yet often go unnoticed—the invisible heroes who shape the very fabric of the United States.
This project is not just about telling stories; it’s about honoring the strength and diversity of Spanish-speaking communities across the globe. My passion for social justice has always been rooted in giving voice to those who are often silenced. Through my photography and the stories behind each face, I want to shine a light on the incredible people who make this country what it is. Their stories of overcoming obstacles, of triumph through adversity, and of quiet grace deserve to be celebrated and remembered.
This project is my love letter to our heritage, a tribute to those who have paved the way, and a call to recognize the beauty and complexity of who we are. It's time the world saw us, honored us, and uplifted us for the incredible contributions we make every single day.
