How faith and unexpected paths lead to fulfillment and impact.

There’s something special about gathering around a table for a meal—sharing stories, dreams, and faith. Recently, I had the privilege of enjoying a delicious Guatemalan dinner with two remarkable individuals whose warmth and hospitality were only surpassed by their devotion to God and each other. Their new home was filled with love, a testament to the exciting chapter they’ve begun together.

During our conversation, one story stood out—a journey of unexpected doors opening, despite initial resistance. This individual had a clear plan for life, yet God had another vision. Through moments of doubt, cultural transitions, and unplanned opportunities, each step was a part of the divine preparation. Doors were opened that seemed uninteresting at first, but they led to a purpose so fulfilling it could only have been orchestrated by grace.

Hearing how faith shaped this path was a powerful reminder that our plans are often eclipsed by something greater. It’s in the unplanned moments that God reveals His design for our lives.

As we sat together, it became clear that the same faith guiding this individual is now the foundation for a shared life and future. It’s a story of trust, service, and the joy of walking through open doors, even when they weren’t on the map.
